The West Coast Jazz Project 

I love Jazz  Standards, Bossa and Latin music and the "Great American Songbook", not the atonal, arrhythmic, non-melodic, wandering in the dark stuff but rather that "feels fantastic and groovy" stuff. What is not to like about that swinging groove of C Jam Blues, that smokey feel of Temptation or The Shadow of Your Smile, the foreverness of Watermelon Man, the magic of Blue Note Record's early years ... or just about anything ever sung by Ella, Sarah Vaughan and the likes! We also enjoy adding a bit of what we like to call "Rhythm and Groove" with some R&B, Funk, Soul and other lovingly curated music to feed your soul. This  stuff is pure gold and mining that gold is what The West Coast Jazz Project band is all about.

We are a combo (generally configured as a trio or quartet). From time to time we are accompanied by  guest singers and other musicians to add layers to what we play. We are on a quest to find and play great music that keeps your toes tapping and that will that inspire real `awe` or at least a very big smile. Playing that type music is our thing, it’s a passion.

The West Coast Jazz Project is based out of Vancouver Canada.
